Survive the Silence
You are the only living thing on an airless, frozen world. Keep your suit powered and your body fed — even if that means eating from the ice of the world you came to save.
A living world tore itself apart, and everything on it froze in a single hour. Now something is putting it back together — and it grew you to do the work. Weld the crust, wake the core, and raise the dead world — one fragment at a time.

Nothing intelligent ever walked here. This planet belonged to forests and herds, rivers and reefs — a wilderness with no maker and no name. Then it tore itself apart, the crust blown into drifting plates around a dying core, and its entire living world froze where it stood. Oceans became ice sheets. Animals became fossils in a single night.
One fragment held its place when all the others let go. That is where you wake — on the keystone, beside a machine you didn't build, with a voice in your ear that has been waiting a very long time for someone to talk to. The world can be rebuilt. The life locked in the ice can be read again. And you are the only thing on this planet that breathes.
You are the only living thing on an airless, frozen world. Keep your suit powered and your body fed — even if that means eating from the ice of the world you came to save.
Mine the shattered crust, smelt and fabricate, and grow a hand-built camp into an automated factory network — alone or with friends, with drones hauling where you no longer have to.
Salvage torn fragments of DNA from the ice, piece them back into readable strands, and discover the species they once were — then grow living plants and animals from a world's worth of frozen text.
Seal the bleeding seams, draw the drifting fragments home, and reignite the dying core. The planet responds to everything you do — and it will tell you when you've changed it.
"The Census is complete. Every world catalogued, every form of matter known. Nothing has surprised us in a hundred thousand years. Then the ice."
"Matter that repairs itself. Matter that copies itself. It cannot be built — it can only be grown. And every sample we hold is dead."
"The subject is awake. It is eating. It is asking questions. That was not in the mandate."
Origin unknown. Translation approximate. More fragments will surface as development continues.
